Your chance to be heard at IBC - submit a paper
by IBC Team | posted on 23 December 2003
Come September, another International Broadcast Conference kicks off: the papers which will matter are being selected now.
IBC invites you to be a part of the IBC2004 Conference - submit a paper idea. Here are the session themes they've decided on for next year:
Archive & Restoration
Content Protection
Content Production
D-Cinema & the Future of Electronic Projection
Digital Lifestyles -The Consumer Experience
Digital Radio
High Definition
Networks Everywhere
The IBC has its roots in broadcasting, but these days, the subject covers far more, as the list shows.
According to the call for papers, the IBC "attracts 40,000 professionals involved in the creation, management and delivery of entertainment content worldwide." That doesn't just mean the cameras and the studios; it also covers home equipment, wireless, and mobility issues.
"However," the announcement continues, "IBC is famous for being organised by the industry for the industry and so we encourage you to take a look at our potential themes and put forward your own ideas. Please feel free to offer a contribution to our papers, panels, tutorials and workshops programme whether it is listed or not - it's a democratic process."
In other words, this is our chance to influence the world's decision makers and innovators in vital areas including technical standards, best practice, plus regional and consumer.
The deadline for all submissions is Friday 6 February 2004 so click onto the IBC website and follow the links to the online contribution form.
The IBC is at Aldwych House, 81 Aldwych, London WC2B 4EL in the UK - Tel: +44 20 76117500 Conference 9 - 13 September - Exhibits 10 - 14 September
