Nude self-portrait with cameraphone? "You're nicked!" - under-age photographer arrested

"Female students at Greensburg Salem High School in Greensburg, Pa., all 14- or 15-years-old, face charges of manufacturing, disseminating or possessing child pornography." Apparently they weren't sufficiently clothed when they photographed themselves.

Apparently this fairly common prank is called "sexting."

The girls took nude (or semi-nude) pictures of themselves (reported  local station WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, on its Web site on Tuesday) and then sent them to classmates - boys of 16 or 17 years old. Now the classmates are accused of "possession of child porn."

Understandably, the parents of the boys are annoyed. The mother of a Greensburg Salem High School teenager involved put it like this: "It is going to ruin his life. My son did not know this girl. He had seen her around school, and it was texted to him. He did not take the picture. I could see if my son took the picture of the girl," the boy's mother continued, "but my son just received this as a text message, which by the way, the principal said the whole school had it on their phones."

No, we do NOT have copies of the pictures...
