A disappointing start to the week...

I feel oddly let down. Not only is Gustav "losing cohesion" and spoiling a great set-piece political event, but a friend tells me he had "to go down to Leeds, to fix a wahing machine."

Instantly, I knew I needed one.

Often, when listening to some dull story being re-told by a friend who neither understood it, nor was even able to re-tell it accurately, I've wanted to have an automated device to make appreciative noises while I ignored him:

"Wah!"
