A great way to start the year; ruin a perfectly good (sort of) MP3 player by installing a PC operating system. If your name is Mys Videl you've already done it.
According to Zune Online, the kernel will be Open Source, "but the loader to boot a new OS on to your Zune will not go open source," says Videl.
It's all there to be discussed in ghastly detail on the Zune message boards.
