Bluetooth stereo headsets: still no mention of microphones in reviews
by Guy J Kewney | posted on 18 October 2005
The market for Bluetooth headsets - stereo - has still not woken up to the fact that there are a lot of mobile phones out there with music playing capabilities. A review of the newest Creative Labs headset gives it eight out of ten - but the thing can't work with a phone.
The PocketLint review of the Creative CB2530 headphones praises the music quality. It also liked ease of use: "Turn the receiver (i.e., the headphones) on, and a few moments later the devices are paired – it’s as simple as that. Seconds later, music will travelling through the air without wires as if by magic with the benefit of no dangling cables to get caught up in your jacket or jumper."
But neither this review, nor the list of sources to buy, mentions the fact that it's useless if plugged into a phone. You can listen, but you can't talk.
