The Smartphone Summit 2005 will be held in San Francisco's W Hotel on September 26 - and the organisers are still drumming up delegates. Is the smartphone still and outcast in the enterprise?
The conference has many giveaway signs that as far as the IT establishment is concerned, the smartphone is just a toy, not a business tool. There's the fact that the show runs only for a day, the fact that there are only three sponsors - and one of those is Symbian - and above all, the fact that only two weeks before the show, they're still offering a discount for "early" online booking
