Bluetooth wireless virus "infects a dozen phones" at Helsinki athletics meeting.

Finnish mobile carrier Telesonera says that an early version of the Cabir virus is spreading (slowly) around the stadium in Helsinki where fans are watching the athletics World Championships.
Cabir isn't regarded as a serious threat, because it relies on user ignorance to spread. It offers itself as a download over Bluetooth to nearby phones, but if the user ignores it, there is no danger.
According to Reuters, however, the version which is spreading in the crowded Olympic stadium [right] is not the latest version of the virus.
Reuters quoted Antti Vihavainen, head of the mobile unit at antivirus software firm F-Secure: "It is the early version of Cabir, which can infect only one phone at a time. Later versions of Cabir are much more fierce."
