CeBIT, Hanover 9 March 2005 Siemens SXG75 - The UMTS multimedia companion - helping consumers navigate through life's communication needs

Navigation, photos, videos, music, downloads: the SXG75 from Siemens Communications brings high-speed multimedia to the mobile phone. The first Siemens mobile phone designed specifically for UMTS networks not only looks good, it is bursting with the latest technology. Its specification leaves nothing to be desired: the built-in navigation system ensures every consumer is steered in the right direction, while the integrated organiser means important events won't be forgotten when life gets hectic.

A 2 megapixel digital camera for high-quality photos and video recording is included, along with a second camera above the large colour display for video calls. The SXG75 can also be used as a radio with RDS services, portable MP3 player or video player. For even better sound, simply connect the optional "Mobile Music Set" accessory with its high quality loudspeakers.

Whatever one desires from mobile communications, the SXG75 has the answer - e-mail, MMS, Instant Messaging or Push and Talk (availability dependent on network operator), whilst Bluetooth provides the convenience of wireless connectivity.

It's no longer a challenge to find a final destination: with the SXG75 users can safely leave street maps at home. Whether on a business trip or weekend city break, the built in GPS mobile navigation system knows the lay of the land (availability dependent on network operator). Directing users to their final destination through both visual and vocal instructions the SXG75 is perfect for navigating even the final mile. The SXG75 supports location-based services such as restaurant tips, special offers or major tourist sights. The built-in translator for English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish will never leave users lost for words while travelings.

Multimedia has never been so much fun: the creation of UMTS networks has brought speed to mobile communications. Large volumes of data enable many new applications. Whether video telephony or downloading videos directly to the phone - the SXG75 makes multimedia a fantastic mobile experience. The built-in 2 megapixel digital camera allows photo enthusiasts to take pictures anywhere as well as record short video clips. Making final tweaks or perhaps assembling a panoramic photo from individual shots with the photo editor provided has never been easier. The large high-quality colour display offers superb image quality for viewing photos and video clips. Using video streaming, downloading a favourite film to the phone directly from the Internet via a fast UMTS connection is now possible. The SXG75 can be used as a mobile radio or MP3 player, or connect the multimedia all-rounder to the battery-powered "Mobile Music Set" (available as an optional accessory) for a portable stereo system that boasts superb sound from its high-quality active speakers.

The SXG75 comes with 128 MB of internal memory with 64 MB of space to store all pictures, videos, MP3 tracks, games and other practical applications. The memory available can be expanded simply by plugging reduced-size multimedia cards into the phone's card slot. Additionally, the integrated organiser is not just for busy executives and can keep track of all the user's everyday tasks, contacts, notes and appointments whilst on the move, updating them constantly through regular synchronisation with a desktop PC.

Mobile communications without limits - this new UMTS mobile phone makes it easy to surf the Internet, read e-mails, send Multimedia Messages (MMS) or chat to friends using Instant Messaging whilst on the move. The SXG75 is even set up for Push and Talk, the new walkie-talkie function for mobile phones. For video calls, a second camera is positioned on the front of the casing allowing the other party to see the user talking.

The eye-catching design of this stylish phone is just as modern as the technology it embodies. Clear lines and quality materials combined with the light tones of its white and silver colour blend accentuate its elegance.

In addition to the "Mobile Music Set IMS-700", there is also a wide range of further original Siemens accessories for the SXG75. They include a selection of headsets such as wireless Bluetooth Headsets, a Stereo Headset or an elaborately designed Headset Purestyle as well as a number of high quality hands-free Bluetooth solutions for in-car use.

An attachable Flash for the integrated camera, a choice of chargers, a data cable and a practical case complete the portfolio. Offered in the "metallic white" colour, the SXG75 is priced locally and is available from September 2005.
