According to Pocket-Lint, Trust "appears to be launching a product a week" and this week's offering is a new Bluetooth car kit.

Trust has two Bluetooth car adapters on the market now. The new model Bluetooth Car Kit LCD HS-8200 costs £110.00, and looks like an Apple Mac - it works with both hands-free and headset profiles (different phones use one or the other or both).

The older one is  the cheaper HS-8100 which looks more like an audio accessory, at £80.00

The difference?

First, here's the spec for the old model:

  • Car kit with Bluetooth® wireless technology for comfortable and safe hands-free communication
  • Works with Bluetooth® compatible mobile phones that support the 'Headset' or 'Hands free' profile
  • Quickly connects to the cigarette lighter connection in your car
  • 2 exchangeable microphones included to suit your preference for optimal voice reception
  • Easy to use controls for volume, answering and cancelling calls, voice dialling, re-dialling, pairing and switching on/off
  • Provides excellent reception and transmission of audio signals with low interference from background noise
  • The new model adds new features:

  • Clear backlit LCD display and illuminated buttons for easy volume control, answering and cancelling calls, voice dialling, re-dialling, pairing and switching on/off
  • Easy synchronisation of 20 numbers from the SIM card of your mobile phone (if supported by the phone)
  • Up to 8 different phones can be paired with the carkit
  • The car kit can be rotated towards the driver or the front seat passenger for optimal voice reception and display view

  • It seems not to boast the "two exchangeable microphones" of the cheaper kit, however.
