New synch software from Extended handles PocketPC devices
by Guy Kewney | posted on 07 February 2002
Updated software from Extended Systems brings the generic "synchronisation" features of XTNDConnect to users of PocketPC 2002 devices.
Most pocket digital devices have a basic ability to download data from your PC; but many users want to extend this to include data held in complex software applications like Lotus Notes or almost forgotten packages like Ecco. The XTNDConnect PC package handles these extensions.
It's now been updated; version 4.7 handles the newest Microsoft-designed PocketPCs, in addition to ordinary Windows CE, Pocket PC, Palm O/S, Casio Pocket Viewer mobile devices, and various Sony Ericsson mobile phones.
The full list of supported PC applications is pretty long; it includes Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Organiser, Lotus Notes, ACT!, Goldmine, and NetManage Ecco Pro applications.
The product is available in 11 localised languages including English, Danish, German, Spanish, Finnish, French, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese, and Swedish. Full details on Extended Systems web pages
