Another way to get SAP data on the move

SAP does provide its own mobile formatting; but if you want it as part of an integrated Web Services presentation for executives out of the office, then Information Builders' achievement of certification of WebFocus for SAP is another route ...
The bare bones of the announcement are that WebFocus for SAP has been certified on the SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) OLAP BAPI interface.
The reason it may be of interest to mobile users is that Information Builders has one of the more interesting mobile products for users of corporate data, delivering wireless summaries of the enterprise MIS data over a BlackBerry handheld.
"This technology works, and we received superior support from Information Builders," said Klaus Schmitt, Managing Director and Director of Development at T-Systems, EZ Süd-West. "Our proof-of-concept project at Deutsche Telekom made a giant leap forward in a minimum amount of time. We were able to combine management and technical data to provide information with a higher level of quality and accuracy than before."
"This certification emphasises Information Builders' commitment to providing powerful, complementary solutions to SAP customers," said Jim Irving, UK Managing Director of Information Builders. "WebFOCUS provides SAP customers with a complete strategy that allows them to address their immediate R/3 reporting needs, while providing full support for their future SAP BW or third-party data warehouse plans."
